The best places to visit in the Fall season

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Autumn is one of the best times to visit the Netherlands and its capital city in particular. As one of the leafiest towns in Europe, Amsterdam naturally paints itself with the warm tones of the season, thus creating incredible landscapes, just like the ones you may see in souvenir magnets sold at the airport.

Walking around the Vondelpark and soaking in the beauty of it all is truly a unique experience. You can even arrange your entire day around it, carrying with you a hot drink, some snacks, and a good book to sit down and just enjoy a refreshing escape and one of the best October vacations you will have in a while.

Mount Fuji, Japan

If you are planning a quick trip to Mount Fuji, then the best way to go about it is to schedule a November vacation. Not quite winter yet, so, sadly, no snow, but it will still be filled with the defining fiery red that can only be found around this time of the year in the many trees within the area.

Japan is definitely one of the best places to visit in the Fall season, with spectacular views of the forest and the town combined. And who knows? If you plan it all really well, you may even be around for the Fujikawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival on November 23, 2022.

Patagonia, Argentina

Patagonia is one of the most sought-after destinations for nature lovers, and rightfully so. It’s wide, dreamy, and bold all at once. Still, weather can be somewhat unpredictable there due to geographical conditions. However, from September through November, the winds tend to be calmer, offering an overall more enjoyable visit.

It should also be mentioned that while it is autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, in the Southern one it is actually spring! Crazy, isn’t it? It still belongs on this list, though, because Patagonia undoubtedly is one of the best October vacations for adventurers, and no one who’s been there will tell you otherwise.

Ontario, Canada

If you want to live the full experience and feel as if you were in a movie, then Ontario is definitely one of the best places to visit in the Fall season. With its traditional landscapes filled with leaves, lakes, and blue skies, this is where all the good photos are taken.

Be careful with the temperatures, though, as they may drop dramatically both during the night and before the sun sets, without any warning. Still, you can do plenty of things indoors, like visiting one of the city's many museums or even just going for a warm drink in a chic café.

Patzcuaro, Mexico

You’ve probably heard about Dia de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, a Mexican tradition that takes place every year on November 2. If you are even slightly intrigued about this cultural phenomenon, then you have to see how it all plays out in Patzcuaro, one of the epicenters of the festivity.

Get ready for a season full of surprises! And don’t forget to take your comfy Sky-haven Travel pillow-hoodie to rest deeply on the plane, right before the adventure begins.
