The Sloodie should not be worn over a thick jacket or heavy sweater. The reason for this is because the bottom portion is a light compression blanket and therefore will fit you nice and snug without a heavy jacket or sweater bunching up underneath and getting in the way. 

We have 3 Sizes available for most color versions. A Standard Size. A Small Size that fits adults and youth 5’- 3” and under, and an XL Size that fits taller and bigger adults who desire more room. If you want your Sloodie to feel quite baggy, feel free to purchase the next size up. These are designed to gently compress your arms in towards your body, so they are built to fit you more snugly and stretch easily. If you feel like you are a borderline decision, then consider if you’d like to feel more hugged when you sleep or more loosely covered. The neck cushions for the Small size are considerably smaller than the Standard. The neck cushions for the Standard and the XL are the same size. Yes, easily. It is very safe for travel and still allows you to easily buckle a plane/car/bus seat belt across your waist or shoulder. Of course, shoulder strap seat belts in cars are a bit trickier when fully wearing the arm rests, however it is still possible to reach out and put a seat belt on over your sleep hoodie.

A SLOODIE is a combination of a travel pillow, a hoodie, a compression blanket and an eye mask. It is fully adjustable to your sleeping needs on airplanes and during all travel. It is lightweight and easy to compress down into a backpack or throw bag. Created by Sky-haven Travel.

No you don't need to use the elbow rests if you don't want to. Our Travel Sloodies multi-purpose features allow increased comfort in any wearing mode including solely resting the neck cushions around your neck like a traditional neck pillow. You can overhand knot the elbow corners together in front of your neck and tuck up the excess bottom fabric for a clean look when not using the blanket portion.

Like a basic hoodie! Our Travel Sloodie is made to be adjusted to your sleeping needs, therefore there are several ways to wear the Travel Sloodie and adjust it to your comfort zone. There are 3 different button/loop settings ranging from a snug tight fit to a looser fit around the neck for your personal resting preference. Everyone sleeps differently, some like the cushions to really hug them and some prefer the cushions to be loose around the neck for increased air flow.

While it can easily be tucked inside and out of the way, the lightweight mesh hood is an essential feature of the Travel Sloodie. It is oversized on purpose and reaches down past your eyes and face to block out glaring beams of light while you sleep and allows for maximum privacy and self-comfort.

There are several options. It was made to easily fit on a regular closet hanger for long term storage, but you can also quickly wrap it up within itself using the arm rests and then toss it in a backpack or suitcase. You can also just easily throw it in our mesh, breathable Sky-haven Throw Bags for short or long term storage while traveling. 

Yes, it is machine washable. We decided not to use memory foam for our pillows for this specific reason, because it is so dense, memory foam takes much longer to dry, is hotter than traditional foam and holds sweat in. Travel pillows that use memory foam cushions can’t be machine washed, and that makes no sense to us. When you travel, naturally… things you wear and use often will get messy. Trust us, you want to be able to machine wash the thing you sleep with and put your head on. However, we do suggest air drying our pillows to increase longevity of your foam cushions, since it is still foam and it can still slowly deteriorate with excessive washing/drying.

Yes, there is a 1-year warranty on every SLOODIE for any defects.

Short answer: Because it is much more than a neck pillow. The Travel Sloodie is an innovative, deluxe multi-functional travel pillow with dynamic features that basic u-shaped travel pillows don’t provide like a place to rest your arms, a privacy hood, a cushion tightening system, and an integrated cell phone/passport/headphones pocket. It creates added privacy and comfort that traditional neck pillows don’t offer travelers.

The zipper pocket is hidden inside the front mesh portion of the SLOODIE. It is accessible from the inside, and is located front and center within the mesh portion. See our website ‘How to wear & use your Sloodie’ videos for more explanation.  

This is also partially hidden up near/adjacent to the interior side of the neck cushions. The button is on one side and the loops are on the opposite side of the neck, adjacent to the cushions.

The neck cushions are not removable. They are cut and shaped from a polyurethane foam that is quite breathable and a medium density. The soft foam neck cushions are built into the neck portion of the Sloodie. One cushion on either side of your neck with a gap at the back.

The gap is unique to the Sloodie design, it is there because we believe there should be a gap at the back of head to allow your head and neck to rest on the seatback without being pushed forward uncomfortably by a cushion between the seat back and your neck. 

Since this is a highly personal item, with close proximity to the skin, mouth, nose and face, we do not accept returns at this point in time, however this may change in the future as we continue to grow in the travel accessory space. We do suggest trying this on several flights because it is likely much different than other travel pillows and hoodies you have tried and may take a couple times to get used to wearing it.

There is only one Throw bag size. It fits all three sizes of the SLOODIE.

Yes! This product was made to stretch easily and adapt to your body as you shift and move on the plane or car seat into a comfortable sleeping position. We specifically chose a jersey knit fabric that is both very stretchy and breathes well.

Yes, our throw bags have a strong paracord cinch mechanism that allows you to tie the excess paracord to a buckle or strap on your backpack or carry-on, so as not to take up valuable space in your bag.

Yes this is an important feature that we designed into the SLOODIE because we wanted travelers to be able to see out at their surroundings if necessary. For instance, maybe you need to be able to keep an eye on your kids in the seat next to you, or maybe you need to keep an eye on your valuable belongings, or maybe you just want to see when the drink cart arrives at your aisle. It is amazing to disconnect, but not be 100% disconnected from the outside world. 

All Sky-haven products are packed and shipped in such a way as to ensure safe delivery, and we've chosen carriers with great track records. Once shipped, transit time within the USA is 4-5 business days. Transit time for Canada, Europe and Mexico is 10-20 business days with sometimes unpredictable customs delays. 

No, the hood is not removable, however it is a lightweight mesh that can be tucked cleanly inside the Sloodie when not in use. Once tucked inside the top, you kind of forget it is even there, until you need it again of course. A removable hood would just be one more thing you have to keep track of on your journey.

With the Sloodie over your head, you simply just take the corners of each arm rest in front of you and overhand knot them together and then tuck the entire bottom portion neatly under your chin. See our website ‘How to wear & use your Sloodie’ videos for more explanation.  

Yes, but more than that. A basic hoodie gives you comfort, but doesn't really help you sleep much, while a SLOODIE, if used correctly, will enable you to sleep for hours while traveling.
